Create your own trading bots with Signals platform

Signals was born with the promise to democratize algorithmic trading for all investors in the crypto market

In 2017, the world  witnessed the explosion of crypto assets with over 1,700 cryptocurrencies and up to 700 billions in total market value. The fact that cryptocurrencies are decentralized, borderless and can be traded around the clock has opened the doors for practically every investors in the world to make a profit from them. However, this market also poses great risks since it remains young and volatile. A trader may go bankrupt because of making wrong decisions or lacking of emotional fortitude towards his trading plan. To solve the problem, Signals was born with the promise to democratize algorithmic trading for all investors in the crypto market, with a view to helping them to overcome hurdles and optimize their profits.

Before jumping into Signals and its functionalities, let's take a look at the definition of algorithmic trading.

Simply speaking, algorithmic trading is the activity aimed at writing down your investing strategies in a language understood by the computer, then the system analyses, processes the data input to generate sell/buy signals or even helps you to place a trade automatically. Thanks to theirs consistency and high-accuracy, machines take emotions out of trading and make it into a pure numbers game. Trading with algorithms has the advantage of scanning and testing on multiple indicators at a speed way beyond human capability. Machines also never sleep and work 24/7, which means more opportunities to place a trade and make a profit.

Basically, there are three steps in creating an algorithmic trading. First, you have to pick up data sets so that your robot can capture identifiable, persistent market inefficiencies. Next, different types of indicators are chosen to act as a lens to view data. Lastly, from specified ways of viewing the data, you have to build a robust algorithmic trading strategy, ready for testing and use.

Signals is defined as a platform which provides traders with the opportunity to optimize their profits by applying algorithmic trading. Besides, it is also a marketplace where traders, developers and data scientists are connected.

Signals has many marketplaces for investors who came up with some good trading ideas but have no knowledge of coding, which can help them apply algorithmic trading by creating their own algorithms (1), or which allow them to observe and copy trading performances of other experts on the platform (2):

In order to understand better how the platform works, let’s take a look at these marketplaces: what they are made up of and what is their function.

Data Marketplace: platform users and vendors are able to buy and sell their unique data sets (historical and current market data, data from social networks, etc.) in the Data Marketplace. Third-parties’ data are provided through integration with data crawlers and Signals Data API.

Indicators Marketplace: This function helps to process, calculate and display the data collected in a understandable manner. Traders can buy indicators which are based on technical analysis, advanced data science,  prediction markets and crowd wisdom. What is more, Signals allows experienced developers and data scientists to charge fees and make a profit from their customized indicators.

Signals Strategy Builder: With no programming skills, users can create workable strategy for algorithmic trading from selected data sets and indicators. Through machine learning application and evolution algorithms, Signals enables users to backtest and train their algorithmic trading strategy based on historical market data.

Strategies Marketplace: Those who master algorithmic trading may be rewarded for their work by listing their strategies for copy trading. On the other hand, buyers can check the strategy performance by applying the given trading strategy on a historical data range. Signals will provide some specific metrics to evaluate the efficiency and strategy profitability in the future.

Besides, Signals promises third-party bots integration in order to make it user-friendlier and more flexible for enhancing users’ experience.

Signals token (SGN), based on ERC-20 Standard, will be used to afford all charged services of Signals Platform.
